'Bollywood' titled painting auctioned for £32,450
Source ::: IndiaTimes‘Bollywood’, a tryptich by renowned Pakistani artist Rashid Rana, featuring images of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, has gone under the hammer for £32,450 at the Sotheby’s auction of international contemporary art in London. Among the Indian lots, a Subodh Gupta sculpture, Untitled #12 sold above the high estimate at £39,650. The auction clocked a whopping £8,712,400.
"The Rashid Rana painting titled ‘Bollywood’ with the images of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan was estimated at £30,000-40,000. Finally, it was picked up by a collector for a hammer price of £32,450.
