Hrithik Roshan sexy and sweaty at IIFA conference

Source - sawfnews

Hrithik Roshan's hunkiness was marred by embarrassing under arm sweat stains at an IIFA press meet in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, on Saturday evening, May 29.

The meet at Hotel Trident was called to officially announce a cricket match between Indian celebrities and Sri Lankan cricketers on June 4.
The initiative is part of the IIFA Awards 2010 to be held from June 3-5 in Colombo, Sri Lanka to help rehabilitate former Tamil Tiger child soldiers.

Hrithik's otherwise delightful casual styling was completely undone by the Mumbai heat and his inexplicable failure to use an antiperspirant. His light blue cotton shirt was a mess by the time he arrived at the event.

Hrithik Roshan and Suniel Shetty will lead the two celebrity teams which will include Salman Khan and Dino Morea.
Sri Lankan cricket captain Kumara Sangakkara will lead his country's team.
"I am actually very delighted and very, very proud to be part of team IIFA. Colombo here we come," said Hrithik at the press meet.
"It is indeed a great honor to play with the Sri Lankan cricketing greats and my friends in the fraternity. I support the initiative of 'Cricket for Children' and IIFA Hands for Humanity and hope to put in my best efforts as a captain of a team towards the noble cause," he added.

Live music on bhansali’s guzaarish set

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Gets Songs Choreographed With Live Guitar!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next magnum opus Guzaarish brings together Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan and has been in the making for about a year now. The buzz is that after Dhoom: 2 and Jodhaa Akbar this is the chance for the lead pair to pull off a hat-trick.
Bhansali certainly is putting everything into his next directorial debut. But Bhansali also marches to the beat of a different drummer – and while lavishing attention on every detail of his film, he makes sure he does things in his own individualistic manner. After keeping the sets of Guzaarish under strict surveillance and then deciding to compose the music of the film himself, we now learn that Bhansali has found a novel way to shoot the songs of his current film.

“Aishwarya and Hrithik freaked out when they heard of a concept like this”

Pony Verma, who has choreographed most of the songs for Guzaarish, reveals Bhansali’s modus operandi for song picturisations. She discloses, “In Guzaarish, Bhansali himself is the music director. As soon as he would conceive a song, he’d send it to me and then sing it to me as well. And while shooting the song, we had a singer and a guy with a guitar on the sets. I would say ‘1…2…3…4…music’ and the singer would sing the song, Aishwarya and Hrithik would perform, and we would shoot it. It is the first time I have choreographed a song to live music.”

Pony fervently feels that this novel way of functioning has enhanced the appeal of the song. Speaking from a choreographer’s point of view, Pony says, “When the number is playing live, you pick up a lot of nuances on the spot, which really helps the song.”
Ask Pony what the stars thought of this novel live format of shooting songs and she enthuses, “Aishwarya and Hrithik freaked out when they heard of a concept like this. They were enjoying every moment of the music playing live.”

“We had a singer and a guy with a guitar on the sets. The singer would sing the song, Aishwarya and Hrithik would perform, and we would shoot it. It is the first time I have choreographed a song to live music” – Pony Verma, Bhansali’s choreographer

Pony insists, “It’s a fabulous idea that Sanjay has come up with. Sanjay is somebody who does his best in each song. He understands the choreographer’s perspective and gives me full rights because he has a choreographer in him besides a director. Not surprisingly his films are musicals – whether it is Saawariya or Khamoshi. He is one person who takes a keen interest in the nitty-gritty of choreography – he works out exactly when the actress should raise her eyebrows so as to get the maximum effect. While shooting we would have great discussions and Aishwarya took keen interest and participated in them. There were times when we would stop shooting and talk about the feel of the song and how to touch people’s heart.”

“Bhansali himself is the music director. As soon as he would conceive a song, he’d send it to me and then sing it to me as well”

A total convert to Bhansali’s style of functioning, Pony avers, “Sanjay is one director all choreographers would willingly fall over themselves to work with. He is not only hugely talented but comes up with innovations too.”
Live music while filming is innovative indeed!

B-town's best in Zoya's next

Source - TOI

Bollywood is abuzz with talk of Excel Entertainment’s road movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that starts on June 7, in Spain. But, in this case, the rain in Spain or rather the buzz around this film is not restricted to the plain.

With a handsome star cast that includes Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Spanish actress Ariadna Cabrol, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin, Zoya Akhtar’s film has already found itself a fan following.

Secure in her own space, the Filmfare Award winning director says, “There is all kind of speculation going on about ZNMD, like it’s a sequel to Dil Chahta Hai, another coming-of-age film. But, none of this is true. DCH is a cult film. And, Reema Kagti — my co-writer, and I are not interested in copying anything. We’ve set out to make a fun film that pertains to the youth and connects to the maximum consciousness.’’

Producer Riteish Sidhwani knows that while the film will speak for itself eventually, the rush of adrenaline at this point is courtesy the terrific star cast. “We’ve managed a coup,’’ he smiles. Zoya, agreeing with Riteish, adds, “This is a dream cast. I’m fortunate that Farhan and Riteish got these actors to agree. Between Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay, I’ve pretty much got every chick in the audience covered. Their individual fan base is enviable.’’

Hrithik is excited about Zoya’s film because both she and he come from a space where they understand each other really well. Having worked together on Luck By Chance, they are in tandem with each other’s sensibilities. Zoya, who knows her brother Farhan’s strengths as an actor, feels he suits his role in ZNMD to the ‘T’. “And Abhay is going to be the surprise packet,’’ she says, “I think he is truly sensible to not ape what other actors are doing.’’

For Katrina, the fact that she is teaming up with Hrithik for the first time is very interesting. Says Zoya, “Katrina is the only one I didn’t know too well before we started the readings. But I must say she is very sweet and extremely professional. Also, one of the most successful girls currently. ’’ And, last but not the least in this pack of six players is Kalki, who is not the typical Bollywood heroine either. “But,’’ as Zoya puts it, “she comes with a different set of sensibilities and is an actress who can rise to any challenge.’’
