Hrithik Roshan is likely to be the latest Indian actor to find a place in the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. The buzz is that the actor received intimation from the officials of London museum while attending the IIFA Awards at Macau recently.

Hrithik, who is said to be excited about the news, is yet to get an official confirmation from the museum authorities.

According to a source, Hrithik got a text message on his mobile phone when he was getting ready in his make-up room for a fashion show by Indian designers at the IIFA. Hrithik and wife Suzzanne Roshan walked the ramp for jewellery designer and Suzzanne’s sister Farah Khan Ali and fashion designer Manav Gangwani.

“Hrithik was clearly elated to get the message from the museum authorities. He declared smilingly to those around, ‘I am going to be waxed’,” said the source.

Hearing the news, wife Suzzanne, who was giving final touches to her make-up, came running towards Hrithik and hugged and kissed him with joy, said the source. Even Farah gave Hrithik a warm hug, he added.

However, when the photographers standing near the actor insisted on capturing the moment, he refused. “Not a smooching picture, please. That would be a bit too much,” said the actor.

Zayed Khan, his wife Maleika and DJ Aqeel, who were also present at the make-up room, congratulated him.

Although Hrithik’s friends insisted that he make the announcement during the fashion show, he refused. “His friends insisted he make the news public at the IIFA fashion show but he refused. While he looked elated, he wanted an official confirmation first,” said the source.

When we contacted Hrithik’s secretary Ashok Vasudani to get a confirmation, he said: “Nothing is official yet, so I can’t comment.” If Hrithik gets his own statue at Madame Tussauds, he will join the elite group of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Salman Khan, who already have their wax statues at the museum.
