Hrithik the Rockstar

Is there anything Hrithik Roshan can’t do? After playing a mean thief, a desi superhero and a beautiful king, Hrithik now sings!

In his forthcoming Kites, Hrithik, who plays a salsa teacher, sings a soulful English number to woo the hot Latina Barbara Mori. It was director Anurag Basu’s idea to have Hrithik croon the love ditty. “A couple of months back, all of us were just chilling at a party when Hrithik spontaneously began singing. He was so good that it was a revelation. I told him that he must sing in Kites,” says Basu.

Initially the actor resisted, but Basu persisted. “He practiced for a month and then recorded the song,” adds Basu. Of course music is in Hrithik’s genes since his paternal grandfather was the noted music composer Roshan and his uncle, Rajesh, composes all Rakesh Roshan’s films.

While we’ll have to wait till post Diwali to hear Hrithik’s song, we did get a sneak peek of what the man is capable of. At the just concluded IIFA awards in Macau, when prodded by host Boman Irani to sing, after much deliberation and discussion with wife Susanne, Hrithik took the mic and sang the famous Amitabh Bachchan Yaarana song, Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan. And boy, could he croon.

Hrithik and Sussanne scorch the ramp at IIFA

Hrithik Roshan and gorgeous wife Sussanne scorched the ramp together at Suzanne's sister Farah Ali Khan's jewelry fashion show at IIFA on June 12.

Hrithik Roshan rocked a black suit over a black dress shirt sans tie and a scorpion pendant in black thread. His long hair with brown highlights was styled with signature curls.

Suzanne looked breathtakingly beautiful in a red satin strapless gown with embellished detail on ruched bodice and sweetheart neckline. She was adorned with an emerald and diamond bib necklace with matching chandelier earrings.

"I am not really a jewelry person but first of all the designer is my sister and then the pieces are beautiful and my favorite is the scorpion neck piece that I am wearing," Hrithik said while posing for the photogs on the green carpet.

Hrithik's father-in-law, actor/director/producer Sanjay Khan and father Rakesh Roshan cheered the couple from the front row at the show hosted by Suzanne's brother, actor Zayed Khan and singer/actress Sophie Chaudhary.

Hrithik and Sussanne launch Country Vivaah

Source: Sawf

Hrithik Roshan accompanied by wife Suzanne debuted a new look - bearded with a sleek pony tail - at the launch of Country Vivaah by Country Club group at Hotel Trident, Nariman Point on Wednesday, June 10

Hrithik paired his blue loose fit jeans with red satin dress shirt, crisp white coat and black dress shoes. We assume the long straight hair and the thick beard is the look for his new film Guzaarish with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in which he will play a wheel chair bound paraplegic patient.

Suzanne, hot mama of two boys, flaunted her slim figure in a light blush pink churidar suit. Her tanchoi long sleeve shirt had glittering borders at the hem. The long dupatta matched the work on the shirt. She accessorized with matching satin belle flats.

Hrithik and Suzanne will debut their runway appearance as a couple for Suzanne's sister Farah Ali Khan at the underway IIFA in Macau on June 12.

It was recently reported that Latin American distributors who saw the international version of Kites at Cannes were impressed by Hrithik’s looks, physique and tanned complexion; they feel he is ideally suited to play Jesus Christ in a film.

Confirming the report partly, Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan said, "A lot of people did mention that Hrithik’s looks are suited for the western market. But I didn’t catch the comment on him bearing a resemblance to Christ.
